Fracturing Wholeness is an exploration of perception and how the act of seeing fractures an undivided wholeness into distinct parts. Inspired by Cubism’s deconstruction of form and Pointillism’s approach to colour, this experimental film examines how human vision imposes structure on what was once seamless.
White represents totality, where all wavelengths of colour merge into white light, just as all sound frequencies blend into white noise. But the moment the eye intervenes, division begins. Colour emerges: first red, then yellow and blue, each introduced with its corresponding frequency in sound, revealing the intrinsic link between what we see and what we hear. The act of perception transforms unity into separation, imposing boundaries where none existed.
Through this process, Fracturing Wholeness becomes more than an observation of colour; it is an experience of its creation. Meditative and immersive, it invites the viewer to witness how perception does not merely receive reality, it constructs it.
